What Paucitas does<\/h2>\n

After a report is filed it often goes quiet, while there are still steps to take. We pick up the case where the report left off: the payments are followed onward, the endpoints are identified and we set out which of those endpoints can realistically be approached and by whom.<\/p>\n

Where the trail reaches a service that identifies its customers, we say so plainly. Where it ends at a platform that publishes nothing, we say that too, because knowing which door is closed saves you months.<\/p>\n

Help after filing a police report is mostly a matter of doing the work that a criminal file will not do for you. The registration establishes that something happened; it does not establish where the money went. That second question is answered on the chain, and it can be answered independently of whether a criminal investigation is opened.<\/p>\n

Those exchanges often date the moment the operation turned, and a dated moment is what makes a timeline usable rather than merely plausible.<\/p>\n

What you receive<\/h2>\n

You receive a report with the outcome of the follow up investigation and a list of possible next steps, each with the reason why that step makes sense in your file. For a file limited to a single chain of payments the turnaround time is usually three to five working days after we receive your data.<\/p>\n

That list is deliberately short. It names only the steps that your own data support, so you are not paying for options that cannot be substantiated.<\/p>\n

For an international reader the Dutch division of labour is worth spelling out. The police register and prioritise, the public prosecutor decides on prosecution, and a civil court can be approached separately with documented findings. A factual report serves all three routes, and it is the only one of them you can set in motion yourself.<\/p>\n

How to get started<\/h2>\n

You contact us with the number of your report and a short description of what you have already tried. We look at it without charge and tell you whether a follow up investigation is worthwhile. Write to us through the contact page<\/a> and we will come back to you with a clear yes or no.<\/p>\n

Bring the registration number if you have it, and the date you filed. If the report was filed abroad about a Dutch platform or a Dutch bank account, that is not an obstacle; the on-chain work is the same and the report can be written to suit either jurisdiction.<\/p>\n

Whether the police or the prosecution service take a case further, they decide themselves.<\/p>\n
