Is there a report you do not recognise yourself in, or do you want to know whether it holds up before you take it further? Paucitas reviews the report on method, data and conclusions, and says where it stands and where it goes too far.<\/div>\n

What a second opinion on an existing blockchain report covers<\/h2>\n

We check three things. First: is the data used complete and is its provenance documented. Second: do the steps follow each other logically and can they be repeated. Third: do the conclusions cover the findings, or is more claimed than the data supports.<\/p>\n

Where we agree, we say so. A second opinion<\/a> that tears everything down is worth as little as a report that is certain about everything.<\/p>\n

What you supply<\/h2>\n

The report itself with annexes, the instruction or question it was based on, and the raw data insofar as you hold it. Without annexes we can assess the method, but we cannot recalculate the figures.<\/p>\n

What you receive<\/h2>\n

A counter-expertise<\/a> with a verdict per section: confirmed, not verifiable, or incorrect with reasons. It comes with a short list of the points that weigh heaviest in proceedings.<\/p>\n

If an investigation of our own is needed to rebut a point, we say so up front, with the costs.<\/p>\n

How to get started<\/h2>\n

Send the report and the question. In a first conversation you will hear whether a second opinion makes sense in your case.<\/p>\n

European supervisors publish background on crypto assets and the rules that apply to them: see ESMA<\/a> and EBA<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A second opinion is an assessment of method and reasoning, not a judgement on the integrity of whoever wrote the report.<\/p>\n
