Fake crypto platform

A fake crypto platform is a website or app that presents itself as a real trading or investment platform, but is set up to bring in deposits. It often looks polished and shows profits that are not based on real trading. Whether a specific platform falls under it is something that has to emerge case by case.

What it may indicate

A platform where depositing works but withdrawal keeps stalling, where profits rise extremely fast, or where the party behind it is hard to trace, can be an indication that it was set up to bring in money. It need not be. Only investigation of the platform and the funds gives certainty.

Someone saw their balance grow on a platform but could not withdraw anything on an attempt without first depositing more. Whether the platform was real can only be assessed by looking at where the deposited funds went.

What is a fake crypto platform?

A website or app that poses as a real trading or investment platform but is set up to bring in deposits, often showing profits not based on real trading.

What are warning signs?

Withdrawals that keep stalling, extremely fast rising profits, or a party that is hard to trace can invite caution. Certainty comes only from investigating the platform and the funds.
