Cash-out point

A cash-out point is the place where crypto is converted into ordinary money, for example through an exchange or another service. In a route this is often the moment when digital wealth leaves the chain. It is a lead in an investigation, without the place itself saying anything about the nature of a transaction.

What it may indicate

A cash out that takes place quickly or via detours can be a reason to look more closely, but it need not mean anything. Many pay outs are everyday activity. What a specific cash out means only emerges from further investigation.

A followed flow of funds ends at a point where the balance was converted into ordinary money. That moment can give direction to follow up questions about where the wealth eventually ended up.

Because it is often a lead in an investigation: it can show where wealth left the chain. What it means still emerges only from further investigation.
