Questions about crypto, origin and investigation
One short page per question, with the answer in the first two sentences.
Paucitas answers here the questions about crypto that people actually ask, in the form in which they ask them. Each page covers one question: what Paucitas does, what you supply, what you receive and how to get started. If you are looking for the background to a subject, you will find it on the topic pages and in the glossary.
The 29 pages below fall into five groups. The first is for people who have lost money and want to know where to turn. The second covers the forms of fraud we see most often and how each of them is investigated. The third is about wallets and access, where the honest answer is more often technical than hopeful. The fourth covers the origin of assets, banks and tax, which is the largest group because it is the one most often asked by people who have done nothing wrong. The fifth covers legal and business matters: divorce, estates, insolvency and company accounts.
Most of these questions about crypto have a Dutch background, because Paucitas works from Amsterdam and most files involve a Dutch bank, the Dutch tax authority, a Dutch police report or a Dutch court. The English pages name that context rather than leaving it out, so an international reader with a Dutch matter can follow what is being described and an adviser abroad can see which rules apply. Where a question is purely technical, such as a partly lost recovery phrase, the answer is the same in any country.
